AcuDetox (also known as the 5 Needle Protocol- 5NP) is a five-point ear acupuncture protocol developed in the 1970s by Dr. Mutulu Shakur & Dr. Michael Smith. Their work helped establish the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA) & the protocol is now used around the world to support stress reduction, recovery & nervous system regulation.

For those who prefer a non-needle option, ear seeds offer a simple alternative. Small seeds or beads are placed on specific points of the ear using gentle adhesive. These points can be lightly stimulated throughout the day to support areas related to stress, sleep, cravings, digestion & emotional balance.

This work has deep roots in community care & grassroots healing. Group AcuDetox offerings are available on a sliding scale whenever possible.
